Lizzo Tops Hot 100 Again As Glass Animals’ ‘Heat Waves’ Breaks Chart Record

“Heat Waves” has spent 80 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, and is bested by only two other songs: The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” spent 90 weeks on the chart, and the Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” spent 87.

Post Malone’s and Doja Cat’s song “I Like You (A Happier Song)” was the only new addition to this week’s top 10, charting at No. 9.

Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” reached a new peak of No. 6, in the week before her album Renaissance was released.

Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti spent its seventh week atop the Billboard 200, which tracks the commercial success of albums.

“About Damn Time” is Lizzo’s second-ever No. 1 hit. Her last, “Truth Hurts” spent seven weeks in the top spot in 2019. After being released in 2020, “Heat Waves” took the longest-ever trip to No. 1, which it finally achieved in March of this year. It took 59 weeks to reach the top spot, and dethroned this year’s mega-hit “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”
