E3 is taking a hiatus in 2022 but that doesn’t mean we won’t get a bunch of video game announcements, trailers, deep-dives and more this June.
Today marks the beginning of the Summer Game Fest. The Video Game Awards’ Geoff Keighley has teamed up with others in the industry to bring gamers an all-digital June game festival that’s the closest thing we’ll get to E3 and a lot less crowded.
Many of E3’s big shows will still happen this year, they just won’t have big, live audiences and there won’t be the E3 show-floor for people to wander around. E3 is slated to return in 2023.
What Time Does The Summer Game Fest Livestream Start?
This year’s Summer Game Fest livestream kicks off at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 6pm UTC.
It will last between 90 minutes and one hour, give or take.
Where To Watch The Summer Game Fest Livestream
You can watch the Summer Game Fest livestream on the following channels:

What Should We Expect During Today’s Summer Game Fest Livestream?
The show is set to run 90 minutes to two full hours, so expect to sit through a pretty long show that—if we’re being honest—could be a little tedious.
Some games we know will be shown off include:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
- Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course
- Sonic Frontiers
- Gotham Knights
- The Callisto Protocol (gameplay footage)
- Planet of Lana
- One Piece Odyssey
The Modern Warfare II footage should be similar to what I saw and wrote about in my preview of that game.
Keighley has noted that most of the games shown today will be previously revealed titles, but we’ll still see and learn new things about them. Expect a couple reveals as well.
Directly after the livestream is over the Day of the Devs indie showcase from iam8bit and Double Fine Productions will go live on the same stream links above. You can expect to see a new game from the Monument Valley studio, Ustwo, as well as other indie titles.
