Lisa joins Maroon 5 on “Priceless,” debuting at No. 69 on the Official Singles chart—her lowest U.K. … More
Blackpink singer Lisa returns to charts all around the world this week, but not on her own. She joins Grammy-winning pop group Maroon 5 on its comeback single, “Priceless.” The track has become a quick commercial success, thanks largely to Lisa’s involvement and healthy early sales. The collaboration debuts arrives on multiple rankings in the United Kingdom, and while scoring a new win in Western markets is always notable for K-pop stars, “Priceless” is not one of Lisa’s biggest successes.
Lisa and Maroon 5 Debut Low on the Official Singles Chart
“Priceless” debuts at No. 69 on the Official Singles chart, which ranks the most popular tracks throughout the U.K. Unfortunately, that marks a new low point for Lisa, at least when considering her solo output.
Her new collaboration starts one spot lower than her debut solo offering, “Lalisa.” That track spent one week on the tally back in September 2021, opening, and peaking, at No. 68.
It’s entirely possible that in the coming weeks “Priceless” could climb, and therefore no longer stand out as Lisa’s lowest-charting track in the U.K. However, it’s also just as likely that the tune could disappear from the Official Singles chart within days, which is not uncommon for many songs that launch fairly low. Often, fans buy and stream a new cut the moment it becomes available and then quickly move on.
Lisa Hits a New Low Soon After Her Career High
The last time Lisa reached the Official Singles chart before “Priceless” was with “Born Again,” her collaboration with Doja Cat and Raye. That single from her solo album Alter Ego stands as her most successful song in the U.K. to date, climbing all the way to No. 13 after debuting in late February of this year. That’s quite the juxtaposition between performances in a relatively short span of time.
Blackpink Vs. Lisa
Blackpink as a group has managed to collect a milestone 10 wins on the Official Singles chart throughout the years, though the band hasn’t scores a new hit since 2022. Just two of those tunes, “Ddu-Du Ddu Du” (No. 78) and “Typa Girl” (No. 93), have stalled in lower rungs than where “Priceless” debuts this week.
Maroon 5 Also Earns One of Its Smallest Hits
Of the 28 songs Maroon 5 has pushed to the Official Singles chart, only two have peaked in lower positions than “Priceless.” “Wait” rose to No. 79, while “Nobody’s Love” remains the group’s worst performer, only climbing to No. 84, even after a month on the ranking.
