Linkin Park’s new single “Unshattered” debuts at No. 2 on iTunes, behind only “Damocles” by Sleep … More
Linkin Park is back with yet another single that’s become a quick bestseller. The group’s latest release, “Unshattered,” arrived on Friday (April 25) — and within hours, it was already (nearly) dominating sales platforms in the U.S. The tune quickly shot toward the top of the iTunes chart, as it’s one of the most exciting new musical offerings this week.
Linkin Park Trails Sleep Token on iTunes
“Unshattered” lands at No. 2 on the list of the top-selling songs on iTunes in the U.S. this week, as of the time of writing. The only composition keeping the band from the summit is “Damocles,” the brand new single from fellow hard rock act Sleep Token. That cut currently holds at No. 1, blocking Linkin Park from yet another chart-topper, at least for the time being.
“Unshattered” Serves as the Second From Zero Deluxe Single
The new track isn’t just a standalone release — it’s the latest piece tied to the band’s latest full-length. “Unshattered” is the second single taken from the upcoming deluxe edition of From Zero, Linkin Park’s most recent album. The original version of the set dropped in fall 2024 and marked a very special return for the group.
From Zero was the band’s first release with new vocalist Emily Armstrong, who stepped in following the death of Chester Bennington several years ago. The studio effort represented a pivotal moment in Linkin Park’s career, as for quite a while, no one knew what would happen with the outfit, or if the rockers would ever make music again.
“Unshattered” Follows Another Recent Rock Smash
Just a month ago, Linkin Park dropped “Up From the Bottom,” the first single from the forthcoming deluxe edition. That song helped reinvigorate interest in From Zero and proved to be a rock radio smash. This week, “ Up From the Bottom” climbs to No. 1 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, giving Linkin Park yet another smash.
A Look Back at the Original From Zero Singles
The original edition of From Zero produced four singles, and the first of them was a true juggernaut. “The Emptiness Machine” turned into one of the biggest wins in Linkin Park’s history. It soared to No. 1 on several of Billboard’s rock-focused charts, and held on for months.
That blockbuster was followed by three more focus tracks: “Heavy as the Crown,” “Over Each Other,” and “Two-Faced.” Of that trio, “Heavy as the Crown” became the most successful, earning lengthy stays on a handful of tallies, as it’s actually still present inside the top 10 on a pair of Billboard rankings, months after its release.
