Ledger has unveiled a new Solana-specific edition of its latest touchscreen hardware wallet.
The new version of the Ledger Flex device debuted Thursday at the Solana Accelerate conference in New York City.
This special edition wallet comes preloaded with a soulbound token (SBT), which Ledger says could unlock exclusive rewards for users down the line.
Celebrating Solana’s Comeback With Custom Hardware
The launch celebrates Solana’s comeback from its post-FTX struggles. Once closely tied to Sam Bankman-Fried’s collapsed empire, the Solana ecosystem has rebounded over the past year thanks to rising interest in user-friendly blockchain apps.
“We’re excited to see the Solana community receive a dedicated device,” said Dan Albert, Executive Director of the Solana Foundation. “The Soulbound Token makes this wallet more than just secure—it’s a digital passport into the Solana world.”
Building on Ledger’s Anniversary Product Line
The Solana Flex follows Ledger’s rollout of its Flex series wallets in mid-2024. These devices marked the company’s tenth anniversary and introduced a new design focused on usability and security.
Ledger previously released a Bitcoin-themed Flex wallet, with part of its sales supporting Bitcoin development causes.
The Solana Flex continues that trend, blending branding, security, and community perks—all in a noncustodial format.
