Lady Gaga’s Entire Solo Catalog Has Now Been Certified Platinum

Lady Gaga released her sixth solo album Mayhem in March of this year. The singer had been promoting the electronic dance project for months before the full-length dropped, and she has continued to push it ever since. Just months after Mayhem arrived, it has earned its first certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and its quick success keeps Gaga’s winning streak sterling.

Mayhem Goes Platinum

The title went gold and platinum simultaneously, which means it has shifted at least one million equivalent units between streams and sales. All six of Gaga’s solo albums have been certified platinum, with Mayhem ensuring her track record remains unbroken – and several have advanced beyond that level.

Mayhem Ties Chromatica, Joanne and Artpop

Mayhem joins Chromatica, Joanne, and Artpop at platinum status. Born This Way, her second full-length, is up to four-times platinum, while The Fame, the project that started it all, is a six-times platinum win.

Other Lady Gaga Albums Also Earned Certifications

Two other albums released by Gaga have also earned certifications from the RIAA. The soundtrack that accompanied her film A Star Is Born, which is credited to the singer-songwriter as well as Bradley Cooper, was certified double platinum back in 2019. Another collaborative project, Cheek to Cheek, her first with Tony Bennett, earned a gold record a decade ago.

Mayhem Moved a Million Units in Under Four Months

Mayhem needed a little less than four months to move its first million units. That’s much faster than Chromatica, her previous full-length. That dance-pop effort dropped in May 2020 and didn’t go gold or platinum until almost exactly four years later.

Only Two Mayhem Singles So Far

Only two singles have been pushed from Mayhem so far. “Disease” was shared in October 2024, and “Abracadabra” followed just before the album. Neither of those singles has earned any certification from the RIAA, though that will likely change in time.
