Lady Gaga’s The Fame climbs back into the top 50 in the U.K. while Mayhem remains a top 10 staple … More
Lady Gaga is still in full promo mode for Mayhem, and the effort is paying off. The dark, electronic full-length was an instant global success when it dropped a little over a month ago, and even now, it’s still performing very well on charts across the world.
While Mayhem begins to dip on a few rankings in the United Kingdom, Gaga’s presence extends beyond just that latest offering. As Mayhem settles into its second month, The Fame is picking up steam again, proving that more than 15 years after its arrival, people still can’t get enough of the collection that first made Gaga a pop superstar.
Lady Gaga’s The Fame is Growing
The Fame currently appears on two charts in the U.K., and it manages to improve its standing on both of them. The full-length returns to the top half of both the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming charts, gaining ground as fans continue to spin Gaga’s earliest smashes alongside her latest release.
On the streaming-only list, The Fame jumps to No. 46. Over on the more competitive Official Albums chart — a hybrid ranking that blends sales and streaming data — the title lifts to No. 49.
The Fame is a Consistent Performer
In terms of longevity, The Fame remains Gaga’s most successful work. This latest frame pushes the blockbuster to 340 weeks on the Official Albums chart. When it comes to the streaming-focused roster, it’s up to 252 frames, showing that newer platforms haven’t dulled its shine.
Released back when Gaga was still introducing herself to the world, the album not only produced megahits like “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” but it also helped shape the sound of late-2000s pop. It moved the sound of top 40 smashes into electronic dance territory, and showed what was possible for a newcomer to accomplish.
Mayhem is Still Living Inside the Top 10
Even as The Fame rebounds, Mayhem is still doing much of the heavy lifting in the U.K. when it comes to Gaga’s catalog. The singer-songwriter’s new full-length appears on six different tallies this frame. It holds steady on one, climbs on another, and steps back on the remaining four, though even small declines don’t mean much at this early stage in a title’s lifespan.
Mayhem is still sitting pretty inside the top 10 on four different lists across the Atlantic, including the all-important Official Albums chart. The release holds at No. 8 this week on that tally.
Elsewhere, the collection lands just outside the top 10 on the Official Vinyl Albums chart, where it places at No. 11. The project’s only notable slide comes on the Official Albums Streaming tally, where it falls to No. 15.
