Last week, Justin Bieber’s surprise full-length Swag reached charts all around the world, but the project was denied the top spot on many rankings. In some territories, both Swag and the lead single “Daisies” missed bringing the Canadian pop titan back to the throne by just a space or two. These days, a musician’s best chance at claiming No. 1 is often when a piece of music is brand new and fans are especially excited. That hasn’t turned out to be the case for Bieber, as “Daisies” rises in the United Kingdom and helps the superstar score a surprisingly strong second week.
“Daisies” Grows Toward the Sun
“Daisies” climbs from No. 4 to No. 1 on the Official Singles chart. In just its second week on the ranking of the biggest songs in the U.K. The R&B/pop tune brings Bieber to the loftiest space on the most competitive roster in the country after failing to add to his total a few days ago when it was brand new.
Justin Bieber Earns His Eighth No. 1 in the U.K.
Bieber has now collected eight No. 1 hits on the Official Singles ranking throughout his career. He has previously ruled with “What Do You Mean?,” “Sorry,” “Love Yourself,” “Cold Water” with Major Lazer and MØ, “I’m the One” with DJ Khaled, Quavo, and Chance the Rapper, “Despacito” with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee and “I Don’t Care” alongside homegrown favorite Ed Sheeran. When “Daisies” arrived, it became Bieber’s twenty-eighth top 10 in the country.
“Daisies” Climbs on Multiple Charts
This week, “Daisies” appears on four charts in the U.K., and it manages to climb on all of them. The tune surges from No. 8 to No. 3 on the Official Streaming ranking and bolts into the top 20, landing at No. 18, on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rosters.
