Jung Kook’s record label Big Hit Music has unveiled the full promotional plan for his eagerly awaited debut solo album, Golden. The news has sent fans into a frenzy as they get ready to enjoy the release and all of the accompanying activities.
The promotional schedule chart provides a detailed timeline of events leading up to the album’s full release. The calendar of sorts was posted on Twitter, and it quickly went viral as followers shared it amongst themselves.
Jung Kook has chosen to gradually unveil the songs on Golden in two parts, with the first set to be revealed on October 25 and the second on October 26. The exact manner in which he plans to share these tunes is something of a mystery, but chances are fans will get at least a taste of what’s to come before the album arrives in full.
On October 30, Jung Kook is set to offer the world a preview of what Golden—whether the song or the full-length, it’s not entirely clear—has in store. Again, what this preview will look like (or sound like) isn’t obvious from the calendar, but that’s part of the fun.
November 1 marks a significant milestone in the promotional rollout, as Jung Kook will release a teaser for what’s called the “main track” from Golden. The BTS star has chosen the title tune as the next single, which is sometimes called the main track in the K-pop world.
Then, on November 3, Golden will be released in its entirety. Simultaneously, the title track and the third official single’s music video will also make their debut, potentially giving Jung Kook a huge win on albums and songs charts around the world.
Jung Kook’s promotional journey with Golden doesn’t end there. Just two days after the album’s release, he is set to take the stage at the MTV EMAs, likely performing “Golden” or a medley, as he has new music to share with the masses. He will also likely share other pieces of content and some fun surprises along the way.
In anticipation of releasing Golden, Jung Kook has already treated fans to a taste of his solo career with the release of two singles. He started to promote the set with “Seven,” a collaboration with Latto. That tune was a major hit around the world, even debuting at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
He followed that win with “3D” alongside rapper Jack Harlow. That smash opened inside the top five on the Hot 100, making him the first member of BTS to collect a pair of top 10 smashes on the main singles chart in America.
