The Brooklyn Nets just got one important piece back this week, and are now poised to add another.
With seven-time All-Star Kyrie Irving now back in the fold for road games, Joe Harris is not too far behind.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday on SportsCenter that Harris could return to the court from left ankle surgery “in the next day or two” and could return to games “in the next couple weeks.”
“He could start ramping [in the next day or two] from that left ankle surgery he had just after Thanksgiving,” Woj said. “This is a player who is a floor-spacer, can make shots around their ‘Big 3’ and is an important piece for them.
“And his return could be within the next couple weeks.”
Harris was averaging 11.3 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 47 percent from deep before he missed 22 games with the ankle surgery.
For his career, the former Virginia standout is averaging 11.1 points and is a 44 percent shooter from deep.
The Nets (24-12) were set to face Milwaukee Friday night and remain the betting favorites to win the NBA title.
