Shui On Land, the real estate development flagship of Hong Kong billionaire Vincent Lo, has named Jessica Wang as the company’s CEO.
The appointment goes takes today, Shui On Land said in a stock filing on Thursday. Shui On Land is the developer of Shanghai’s iconic Xintiandi nightlife and business district.
Wang, 47, was previously a managing director of project development and asset management at Shui On Asset Management, where her responsibilities included business development of the group, the company said.
Wang, who joined Shui On in 1997, will be paid 11.6 million yuan a year, or $1.8 million, not including any performance bonus.
Shui On said last month it had won a 17 billion yuan, 50-50 land rights bid with state-owned Wuhan Real Estate in the central Chinese transportation and education hub of Wuhan. The city was the epicenter of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020.
Lo, 72, has an estimated fortune worth $1.7 billion on the Forbes Billionaires List today. He remains Shui On’s chairman.
