You’re going to want a scoop of this. Or not!
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams just announced the highly-anticipated return of its most polarizing flavor to date – Everything Bagel.
Originally launched in January of last year, a time when all of our stay-at-home palettes could use a little intrigue, the savory, garlicky, buttery ice cream sparked a debate among ice cream lovers. Everyone loves a savory bagel but allium-spiked frozen desserts? Well, people were passionate.
A leader in ice cream innovation, Jeni’s is no stranger to unique flavor combinations and had been exploring the everything bagel flavor for years. The everything bagel gravel is a buttery streusel of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion, and garlic that’s made from scratch in Jeni’s Columbus, Ohio kitchen. The gravel recipe was originally featured in her book, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream Desserts, and later came to life as a topping option in Jeni’s scoop shops.
Folding the crunchy gravel into sweetened cream cheese ice cream was a natural next step to strikes the salty-sweet-umami balance of a classic everything bagel. Everything Bagel became the company’s most searched-for flavor, and with it’s 2022 re-release, Jeni’s invites ice cream fans to once again make their taste buds heard.
Everything Bagel will be back for a limited-time-only, beginning on March 21st. Those interested in breakfast-appropriate pints may also want to check out Jeni’s new maple soaked pancakes flavor, which debuted in February in honor of Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.
Jeni’s makes its one-of-a-kind flavors with Direct and Fair Trade ingredients and super fresh milk from family dairy farms. It’s also is a Certified B Corporation known for its social, environmental and business leadership with more than 60 scoop shops, an online shop at jenis.com and distribution in grocery stores across the country.
