POSTSCRIPT: JC Penney must be congratulated for celebrating significant events in our lives. The Black History Month recognizes and honors the contributions of Black Americans in our Nation’s history. The fight for emancipation was a long process and our nation’s ongoing struggle for equality continues. However, in my life I have seen movement towards the Constitution’s promise of a “more perfect Union.”
