Furthermore, the Numiner NM440 series is said to process at faster hashrate speeds than Bitmain’s forthcoming models. That’s because the Numiner NM440s is said to produce 440 TH/s, compared to the Bitmain Antminer S19 XP (140 TH/s) and Antminer S19 Pro+ Hyd. (198 TH/s).

In addition to the already announced mining rigs, Sphere 3D (Nasdaq: ANY) has announced the purchase of 60,000 Numiner NM440s. According to the news release, Sphere 3D will “receive 12 pre-production NM440s for final assessment and testing to be completed on or before June 1, 2022.”

Luxor Mining doubts Numineris 

“Numiner sprang out of nowhere and announced a 444 TH/s miner with a 20.2 J/TH efficiency,” Luxor Mining claimed. “With these specifications, it would be an industry-leading ASIC.” What are our thoughts, guys, is this item real?”

While the specs are superior to those of most machines on the market, people are asking if the machines are genuine, and many are interested in the new firm. “Never heard of these people before,” Poolin’s Alejandro De La Torre tweeted about the new miner. Luxor Mining also posted about the announcement, and on Twitter, it questioned its followers if they felt it was genuine.

Collaboration with TSMC, Foxconn, and Xilinx

According to the website, the Numiner models are being built in collaboration with TSMC, Foxconn, and Xilinx. While many questioned the project’s veracity, others made light of the shown unit’s Mountain Dew colors, aesthetics, and features.

Furthermore, Sphere 3D, a publicly traded firm, has said that it has bought 60,000 Numiner NM440 mining machines with the intention of deploying 32 exahash per second (EH/s) of SHA256 hashpower.
