The Chief Executive officers of some tech firms have shown very less interest in the space. Phil Spencer and Evan Spiegel, the CEO of Microsoft gaming and Snap respectively have revealed not being much enthusiastic about the metaverse.
In the time of the Wall Street Journal event, they disclosed their casual attitude for the recent type of the metaverse.
As per the explanation of Spencer, the metaverse presently represents a system of badly built video games. This is shown by the bad graphics and the low-quality interface in the environment.
Spencer noted the benefit of the gaming environment on the metaverse, which contains the concept of different engaging virtual worlds. Also, he related many of the metaverse projects to digital room meetings.
More description from Spencer highlighted the unique capability of many video game makers. Furthermore, he highlighted that their project proposes a captivating world with more attraction for moderation and entertainment. He also said that he will never be a member of metaverse projects that look like a meeting room.
He also contrasted the experiences of enduring inside a computer. He highlighted that the duplication of the metaverse space is presently on the initial level. So, for him, giving time to these kinds of projects will not make any thrill after a pressurised working day.
AR and VR
Furthermore, Spiegel revealed that Snap had focused more on minimizing the hardware in its service. Rather than that, it plans to blow at the virtual reality hardware following the trend. This will make the project an amazing experience in the real world by augmented reality (AR).
The digital world is making a world that will portray the real world and give users an exciting experience. Virtual reality gives an enveloping environment, at the same time augmented reality gives a real-world setting.
A user needs a headset device to approach virtual reality but it isn’t applicable for augmented reality. Also, Virtual reality is all about fiction and augmented reality keeps touch with the real world.
In line with the chief executive officer of Disney, Bob Chapek, the firm concluded not to use it as a term. He said that the reason is that it is a wide term they witness as a storytelling invention for the future gen.
