HyperSDK Solution of Avalanche Records TPS of Over 140K in Testing

The transaction speed over a blockchain network is one of the crucial elements that create a difference from traditional networks. With this feature, the network boasts to facilitate faster transactions than the existing financial systems across the globe. Since the transaction speed has no limits, new innovations towards it continue to take place. Avalanche blockchain network recently hit another record transaction speed of over 140K TPS with its HyperSDK protocol.

Avalanche (AVAX) is a popular smart contract Layer-1 blockchain network across the blockchain and crypto industry to facilitate one of the fastest transaction speeds (TPS). With the recent achievement added in the blockchain’s favor, HyperSDK facilitates the fastest transaction speed seen to date.

The GitHub screenshot shared across the social media platforms shows that HyperSDK hit the speed of 143,322 transactions per second, within a controlled testing environment.

For reference, Avalanche itself stands at 4,500 TPS, the transaction speed of Solana (SOL) varies between 2,000 to 3,000 TPS, while the second largest cryptocurrency blockchain network Ethereum facilitates 15 to 20 transactions per second.

Currently, Avalanche is testing a high-performance Virtual Machines (VMs) building infrastructure. The network witnessed the transaction speed during the ongoing tests of the HyperSDK blockchain upgrade.

Avalanche Set To Revolutionize TPS With HyperSDK

Ava Labs has designed HyperSDK to offer developers the ability to integrate with a high-speed execution environment without the need to write extensive code from the ground up. This approach streamlines and speeds the process of creating custom virtual machines (VMs), making it more accessible for developers to launch optimized blockchains.

According to the Medium blog post, HyperSDK is designed in a way that allows developers to seamlessly connect to a highly efficient execution environment without the need to start coding an extensive amount of code from the beginning. This results in a significant reduction in the time required to construct one’s own blockchain runtime, reducing the timeframe from several months to just a few days.

The HyperSDK-built blockchain networks will be called HyperChains and they will be compliant for necessary changes or adaptation of functions according to the developers. The protocol is set to bring developers to the new era “to express their full creativity” from the development of DeFi protocols to non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces, the blog post added.

Though the transaction speed is unprecedented, it’s going to be under-clocked under normal circumstances. Ava Labs’ head of product, Nick Mussallem stated that the output of HyperSDK will be limited to 50,000 TPS.

Musallem thinks that the transaction speed is clocked at 141,000 for now under the controlled environment. Even after cutting it in half, the speed is going to stay at significant numbers and will work more than the majority of other chains.
