Music fans from all around the world are flocking to Indio, California (if they haven’t already arrived) for the highly anticipated Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where they will dance to live performances from this year’s headliners: Bad Bunny, Blackpink, and Frank Ocean.
Coachella has become a globally recognized event for both artists and fans alike, where people from all walks of life come together to experience the music and culture of the festival. Tickets for the festival usually sell out within minutes, making it hard for everyone to attend. This year, there is good news for fans who are unable to make it to the festival grounds.
For the first time ever, Coachella will be livestreamed to the world, with YouTube signing on as the official livestreaming partner. The showing will be comprehensive, as there are set to be six separate livestreams covering all the stages. All of this fun will take place on Coachella’s official YouTube channel.
The livestreaming starts at 7:00 PM EST on Friday, April 14, and will run through Sunday night, April 16. The show will commence one again at the same time next Friday, April 21. Sadly, it seems that not all performances will be shown, as some artists are scheduled to perform before the start time of the livestream on YouTube. It appears that at least those artists performing on Fridays before the 4:00 PM PST start time will be missed.
In addition to the livestreaming, fans can also pick up items from the festival’s exclusive merchandise drops on Coachella’s YouTube channel, which should give them at least a fleeting feeling that they were actually part of the festival. Additionally, behind-the-scenes content with artists, creators, and fans will also be available on YouTube’s Shorts platform, which is built into the website.
Weekend one’s livestream is sponsored by Fast X, Verizon, and NYX Professional Makeup, while weekend two is sponsored by Tic Tac and Dove Shower Collection.
This year’s Coachella lineup is extensive, with a diverse group of artists that touch nearly every genre this is. The lineup, in part, includes A Boogie, Alex G, Becky G, Björk, Blondie, Boygenius, Burna Boy, Charli XCX, Christine and the Queens, EarthGang, Elderbrook, Ethel Cain, Flo Mili, Glorilla, Gorillaz, Idris Elba, Jai Paul, Kali Uchis, Kaytranada and SG Lewis, Kenny Beats, Kid Laroi, Latto, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Metro Boomin, Muna, Noname, Pusha T, Romy, Rosalía, Saba, Snail Mail, Soul Glo, The Breeders, The Chemical Brothers, The Comet Is Coming, Weyes Blood, Willow, Yaeji, Yung Lean, Yves Tumor, and many more.
