Horizen, a prominent public layer 0 blockchain, has just made the announcement that it would be forming a strategic alliance with Ankr, a prominent Web3 infrastructure provider.
As a result of this partnership, Ankr will be one of the first Remote Procedure Call (RPC) providers for EON, Horizen’s newly developed Ethereum virtual machine (EVM)-compatible smart contracting platform, as per the information shared with Finbold on June 6.
The collaboration will enable a broad variety of use cases, such as decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which will offer further accessibility, scalability, and dependability to the expanding EON ecosystem.
Horizen ecosystem
Horizen’s EON is the first among multiple smart contract sidechains that will be available on the Horizen ecosystem, and it is completely compatible with EVM. The cutting-edge Web3 infrastructure and services provided by Ankr will make it possible for Horizen EON to significantly improve both its overall performance and its accessibility, both for developers and end-users.
EON will have the capacity to handle any request load thanks to the high-performance RPC node architecture provided by Ankr, which will allow EON to be more scalable and efficient.
Rob Viglione, Co-founder, Horizen stated:
“The collaboration between Horizen and Ankr will significantly enhance the EON ecosystem’s capabilities, delivering unmatched value to developers and users alike. Ankr’s cutting-edge technology and suite of developer tools will not only bolster EON’s scalability and accessibility but also empower our developers to create innovative, secure, and efficient dApps across various use cases.”
Ankr partnership
As part of the partnership, Ankr will make available a set of developer tools that will simplify the process of building and deploying smart contract apps on EON. Liquid Staking Software Development Kit (SDK), Web3 Gaming SDK, and AppChains as a Service are just a few of the tools available to dApp developers on EON for creating innovative, scalable, and versatile Web3 apps.
Ankr’s Head of Product, Josh Neuroth, added:
“Our collaboration with Horizen is a testament to Ankr’s dedication to developers looking to build innovative solutions upgraded by the zero-knowledge movement. By providing readily accessible connections to EON, Ankr can assist in powering the leading edge of smart contract technology as it plays a vital part in scaling Web3 to the next billion users.”
All in all, with the partnership, the EON ecosystem will soon be able to host a plethora of decentralized applications and services. Ankr’s Web3 infrastructure, together with EON’s EVM compatibility, and Horizen’s zero-knowledge enabled cross-chain protocol, will combine to create a blockchain environment that is permissionless, interoperable, and customizable for blockchain developers and end users.
