In a surprising turn of events, Elon Musk replaced the iconic Twitter blue bird with the DOGE meme.
The change was done after the dismissal of a $258b lawsuit against Elon accusing the Twitter CEO of inflating Dogecoin’s price intentionally. As many speculated, it seems like the replacement was done simply to retaliate against the lawsuit. Musk’s lawyers deemed the lawsuit a fanciful work of fiction over Musk’s silly and innocuous tweets regarding DOGE.
After the logo was changed, Elon Musk released a quirky update on Twitter. The CEO shared a post that showcased DOGE’s face driving a car while an officer checks the driving license.
As expected, the stunt boosted Dogecoin’s price by over 30%. Moreover, the hashtag “DOGE” started trending across Twitter. Intrigued by the trend, many traders and enthusiasts searched for a precise Dogecoin Prediction.
Shortly after, Musk also shared an old screenshot of a conversation that took place on Twitter. The screenshot showed a Twitter user asking Musk to purchase Twitter and change the logo to DOGE. Musk hilariously captioned the post “as promised” in the latest tweet.
While the logo was changed across the board, the mobile version of Twitter remained unchanged. Dogecoin responded to the change via its official Twitter channel. The token used the infamous meme style saying, Very currency, Wow, Much Coin, How Money, So Crypto.”
Launched in 2013, DOGE was released as a meme coin to parody other currencies, like Bitcoin. In February 2023, Musk shared an image of DOGE acting as the new Twitter head. The account stated that the new CEO is amazing.
