Here’s When Morty Comes To ‘MultiVersus’ In Season 1

Morty, of Rick & Morty, is headed to the new free-to-play brawler MultiVersus after a short delay.

The hit video game just kicked off its first season, but Morty was not available at launch. When he arrives, he’ll be the game’s very first DLC character, joining a bunch of other Warner Bros. classics like Bugs Bunny and Batman in the 2v2 fighting game.

Morty lands in MultVersus in exactly one week, on Tuesday August 23rd. Other fun stuff like Classic Arcade Mode and Ranked Mode are also being introduced during Season 1.

Morty’s other half—the mad scientist, Rick—will join the game in the not-too-distant future. Both characters have already been featured in Fortnite but here they’ll be unique fighters with their own special abilities and fighting styles rather than just skins in Epic’s epic battle royale.

Morty’s inclusion will bring the roster to a total of 18 fighters from a diverse array of properties like Scooby Doo, Game Of Thrones and Adventure Time.

Morty is considered an ‘expert’ character like Iron Giant, Arya or Tom & Jerry, which is interesting. Expert indicates the skill level the game recommends you’re at to use the character effectively, meaning the very first DLC release is for more experienced players.

That’s about all we know about Rick and Morty in MultiVersus at this point. Everyone will be able to get their hands on Morty next week—for a price. New characters cost 7000 Gleamium (the in-game premium currency) or about $7 each.
