Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1

Fortnite Chapter 6 is coming to an end this afternoon, and The Simpsons crossover – which included a Springfield-based map – is drawing to a close. The big Zero Hour live-event is slated for later this afternoon, marking the end of the current season and chapter in what promises to be an explosive finale.
Whenever a season ends, it’s a pretty big deal for Fortnite and its player-base, but when a Chapter ends it’s a momentous occasion. Not only do we get a new Battle Pass, map and various weapons and items, there are usually even bigger changes to gameplay, graphics and so forth. In past season changes, we’ve seen downtime reach several days or longer. This time, the turnaround between Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 should be much quicker, which is good news.
What Time Does Chapter 6 End?
Chapter 6 is going out with a bang with the Zero Hour event which kicks off at the following times:
- West Coast US (PT): November 29 at 11:00 AM
- East Coast US (ET): November 29 at 2:00 PM
- United Kingdom (BST): November 29 at 7:00 PM
- Central Europe (CET): November 29 at 8:00 PM
- Japan (JST): November 30 at 3:00 AM
Players should get queued up early. You can login 40 minutes ahead of the event to hopefully secure your spot (barring any technical problems or overwhelmed servers) and you can do that on mobile now that Fortnite is back in the Google Play and App Stores.
The current “mini season” Battle Pass will end when the live-event begins, which essentially marks the end of the current season and chapter.

What Time Does Chapter 7, Season 1 Begin?
Fortnite servers are set to go dark shortly after the live-event wraps up. In past Chapter-ending seasons, we’ve seen very long downtimes, but the official word is that Chapter 7 will launch later today, November 29, barring unforeseen issues. Expect a 3 to 5 hour downtime, with servers going back online between 5pm and 7pm ET.
What’s New In Chapter 7?
The Chapter 7 theme is all about Hollywood and the movies, which is fitting since we’ll have a big Quentin Tarantino event this coming Sunday, November 30. Fans of Kill Bill will want to tune in for the Yuki’s Revenge short film, an animated short based on a scene Tarantino cut from his film. Uma Thurman returns to voice The Bride. The short features Yuki Yubari, a character cut from the movies.
You can unlock the Yuki Yubari outfit by logging into the game between November 27 and December 1 at 6am PST.
Beyond Kill Bill, we have a Los Angeles-themed map, more movies like Back to the Future (which is celebrating its 40th anniversary) and much more.
Fortnite Chapter 7 is titled Pacific Break and according to HYPEX on Twitter, the Battle Bus will be replaced this season by a tsunami that players will surf on in order to join a match, with far fewer spots to land. Everyone surfs to the beach. I wouldn’t be surprised to see other LA crossovers like The Red Hot Chili Peppers join the fray.
A new Battle Pass, new trailers and all sorts of other info on Chapter 7 will be live later today. For now, get ready for the big live-event and brush up on your surfing skills. Things are about to get salty.
