Here’s How To Watch Online

After scoring a huge hit at the box office, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is finally available to stream online without having to purchase a copy of the film.

The colorful kids animated movie, based on one of the most-beloved video game franchises of all time, is now exclusively streaming on Peacock.

This is interesting timing for a streaming release, given Peacock also just released the new Twisted Metal show based on the classic PlayStation car-combat franchise. Of course, that series is geared toward a much older audience (parents, please watch before letting your kids stream!)

I really enjoyed The Super Mario Bros. Movie when I saw it in theaters earlier this year—certainly more than many other critics! It’s not perfect, but as the start to a new Mario film franchise, it was just about right. It was also short, which I appreciated. Short and sweet.

If you don’t subscribe to Peacock there are several options available, including ad-based or ad-free (at different price points). It appears there are no free trials currently available—at least not stand-alone free trials. Still, a month of Peacock is cheaper than buying a movie if you only plan to watch it once and you can check out some of their other content—like Twisted Metal, Mrs. Davis, Resident Alien or Poker Face—while you’re at it.

Along with the movie, Peacock is offering up some bonus features including:

  • Getting to Know the Cast: behind-the-scenes interviews with the stars of the film
  • THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE Field Guide: an immersive video featuring the cast and various interactive features throughout the film including Power-Ups and Bonuses
  • Peaches Lyrical Video: sing along to Bowser’s big musical number as he serenades Princess Peach
