No one can argue that Harry Styles isn’t a globetrotting superstar, as his massively successful Love on Tour is not just a moneymaker, it’s one of the biggest ever.
According to Billboard, Styles’ Love on Tour has reached an amazing milestone, with over $400 million in ticket sales. This historic achievement means that Styles now claims the tenth-highest-grossing tour of all time, putting him in the company of other powerhouses like Ed Sheeran, U2, Guns N’ Roses, and Elton John.
To claim the No. 10 spot on this list, the current holder of the Album of the Year Grammy’s Love on Tour passed Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour.
Styles’ Love on Tour began in September 2021 and is expected to run through July 2023. The shows are meant to promote his last two albums, Fine Line and Harry’s House, as the singer-songwriter was unable to tour the former of the two due to the pandemic.
With over $400 million in ticket sales, Styles has already made history…but he’s not done yet as he still has a string of European shows to play. It’s entirely possible that he will advance on this once ranking again before all is said and done, as his closest competitor, AC/DC’s Black Ice World Tour, earned $442 million, which is within reach for Styles.
John broke the record for the highest-grossing tour of all time just two months ago with the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. The piano player’s ongoing trek has blown past $800 million in ticket sales and is expected to be his last outing ever.
