According to the latest news reports, an official Twitter account of Will Sasso(a Canadian actor) was hacked by hackers to promote a Cardano(ADA) Scam.
The hackers changed the profile picture of Sasso and reuploaded the picture of Charles Hoskinson.
Hacked Twitter account of Sasso is promoting a false tweet claiming to the users that Cardano Blockchain has organised a giveaway program after the successful launch of the Vasil hard fork, which happened in the third week of September 2022.
In the beginning, the scam was promoted by Charles Hoskinson, and now the scammers have changed the profile name and renamed as vitalik.eth.
Of course not; neither Charles Hoskinson nor his firm Input Output is any Cardano(ADA) giveaway contest or program of 100 million. So, Twitter users need to be more alert and conscious and not click on the link provided in the scam-promoting tweet.
The official account of Will Sasso has not recovered yet. Moreover, Will is among one the finest actors in the Canada Film Industry. He is known for his impactable work in The Three Stooges, Loudermilk, and Super Troopers 2 and has worked in several other films and Television shows.
Although cryptocurrency scammers continue to commit these kinds of scams and fraud with the help of Twitter, it’s really hard to trace and find them out. As per some reliable data, the scam has been gaining popularity in the last few months, and many Twitter accounts are being hacked to promote cryptocurrency scams on social media.
In September 2022, a Twitter account of the Oman India embassy was hacked to promote a fake Scam but later, after the reports, the officials recovered the account.
