The new “AI Ultra Plan” targets power users. It offers early access to advanced tools like Deep Think and Project Mariner. Subscribers also get 30TB of cloud storage and an ad-free YouTube experience.
Google isn’t just selling premium tools—it’s transforming how people use the internet. U.S. users can now activate “AI Mode” in Search. This new setting skips traditional web links and delivers instant, AI-generated answers—even for complex requests.
Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, also gained traction. CEO Sundar Pichai said it now has over 400 million active users per month.
Smart Glasses, Smarter Services
Beyond software, Google teased new AI-powered smart glasses. These glasses weren’t the main focus but hinted at future real-world applications of its AI work.
Pichai emphasized cost-effective AI development. “We deliver the best models at the best price point,” he said on stage.
Facing OpenAI, Matching Anthropic
Google’s aggressive rollout follows a wave of competition from OpenAI and Anthropic. Both rivals offer premium models priced around $200 per month.
With Gemini’s AI strength and a focus on usability, Google hopes to regain leadership. Its strategy blends personal AI, smart automation, and more affordable access for developers and businesses.
