George Clooney, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Jonathan Groff and Cynthia Erivo were among the stars who walked the red carpet of th 2025 Tony Awards Sunday in New York.
The American Theatre Wing event is celebrating its 78th year with the 2025 Tony Awards, which are are being held at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The show will be broadcast live beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on broadcast on CBS-TV and streaming on Paramount+.
Clooney, who walked the red carpet with his wife, Amal Clooney, is nominated in his Broadway debut for Best Actor in a Leading Role in A Play for playing legendary broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck. The play is based on the film of the same name, which Clooney directed.
The musicals Buena Vista Social Club, Death Becomes Her and Maybe Happy Ending lead the nominations going into the 2025 Tony Awards ceremony with 10 nods each.
