In her 13th fight, Fundora captured the IBF flyweight title with a knockout of Arely Muciño. She defended that title in January 2024 with a TKO over Christina Cruz. A second title defense came in August of that year when Fundora picked up a unanimous decision over Daniela Asenjo.

That win earned Fundora a date with WBC, WBA, and WBO 112-pound titleholder Gabriela Celeste Alaniz in November 2024 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas.

Fundora, who had a pronounced height and reach advantage over Alaniz. She used those physical assets well, keeping her opponent at distance. While Alaniz tried to use her speed and movement to close distance and score, Fundora’s reach and power made things difficult for Alaniz.

In the end, Fundora scored the seventh-round TKO victory to claim the undisputed flyweight title.

Marilyn Badillo (19-0-1 with three knockouts) has been a pro since October 2017. In March 2024, Badillo defeated Tania Garcia Hernandez to become the WBC international flyweight champ. Fundora is the younger sister of Sebastian Fundora, who holds the WBC and WBO light middleweight titles. He is coming off a defense of those belts, beating Chordale Booker by TKO in March of this year.
