Two of the biggest video games of the generation collide in one of the coolest-looking mods I’ve ever seen. Garden Of Eyes has been hard at work bringing broom flight and wand combat to Elden Ring, FromSoftware’s massively successful 2022 action-RPG. Don a Hogwarts robe and take to the skies above The Lands Between.
Given that Elden Ring was a collaboration between the Dark Souls studio and Game Of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, once you have this mod installed you’ll basically be combining a wide swath of all the most popular fantasy into one experience.
Here’s the trailer:
That looks bloody brilliant to me!
I’ve written about a couple pretty cool Hogwarts Legacy mods recently as well: One that will bring multiplayer to the game much like Skyrim Together did for that Bethesda RPG; and one that allows you to brew a potion that respecs your Talent Points.
I rarely dabble with mods these days, having reached the zenith of my modding days during my time with Skyrim. Still, I think I’m going to need to fly on a broom in Elden Ring. For one thing, it just looks too badass to pass up on. For another, it should make some of these boss fights a little more manageable.
The mod adds a bunch of Harry Potter spells as well, which should be fun to try out. You can pull enemies toward you with Accio, set them on fire with Confringo and even cast some unforgivable spells like Crucio and Avada Kadavra. In total, the mod currently has:
- 7 new iconic Harry Potter spells
- Flying Broomsticks
- the Elder Wand
- and a Harry Potter skin

I would just recommend you beat the game without any of this first—especially the broom—as unbridled flight will, in no uncertain terms, break the game, making the carefully crafted open-world FromSoftware has created much less daunting.
Elden Ring does have some other cool mods, like the Total Combat Overhaul mod that makes combat a little bit more like Sekiro. I’d love to see Sekiro’s grappling hook added to the game. Then I could go zipping about on my broom and grapple when it suited me. I’d be Elden Lord in no time!
Frankly, as much as I do love Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring is by far the better game, and now I can get my Harry Potter fantasy in at the Raya Lucaria Academy instead of Hogwarts whenever I need to—and yes, some people are framing this as a way to avoid having to hand over your money to J.K. Rowling (now the Big Bad supervillain of the universe) but I don’t care about all of that. I just like to pair my magic with a blade.
Here’s my video reaction to this awesome-looking mod:
