The so-called Ripple vs SEC battle, now catching the attention as the Ripple Labs supporters are increasing in count. More entities are openly appreciating the efforts of Ripple Labs and now standing with them.
In the most recent news regarding the Ripple supporter list, Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer, Paul Grewal, added on October 31, 2022, that Coinbase has asked Judge Torres for the permission to file an amicus brief in the SEC case over Ripple lawsuit.
Paul Grewal further mentioned in the twitter thread that in their Constitution, government agencies can not condemn conduct as a violation of law without giving fair notice that the conduct is illegal.
Moreover, by suing sellers XRP tokens, after making the public statements signals that those transactions were lawful. Mr. Grewal also pointed out that the SEC lost sight of this bedrock (an idea that must not ban something simply as it is offensive) principle.
He further asked to get the new regime that gives them a “fix grammar in Tweet” button.
Along with Coinbase, now there are a total 12 entities which show its support of Ripple Labs. As recently 11 entities already sent an amicus to the court.
