The design for FC Barcelona’s fourth shirt has been leaked online.
The Blaugrana currently have three shirts for the 2022/2023 season which have enjoyed great success with fans worldwide.
They consist of the traditional Blaugrana blue and red design, a gold model with the streets of Barcelona city center engraved into it, and a silver third shirt with a red and blue cross in its center.
Barca currently lack a yellow and red shirt with the traditional design of the Catalan ‘Senyera’, however, but their prayers have been answered if leaked images from FootyHeadlines are anything to go by.
The shirt will be put on sale in January according to the website, with Mundo Deportivo having already picked up on peculiar features that the shirt boasts.
The colours of the Senyera flag will be on the chest, but the club’s badge will be centered while two Nike swooshes are placed on the sleeves. Parts of the sleeves will be blue, as will the central logo of streaming platform and sponsor Spotify.
As with previous similar designs, Mundo Deportivo expects the new shirt to go down well with fans given that kits with the Senyera flag have been among the best sellers in recent years.
Barca haven’t given any official details on when the shirt will be released, but these are expected in the coming days.
Xavi Hernandez’s men could don it in the upcoming derby against Espanyol at Camp Nou on Saturday when they look to maintain their two-point lead at the summit of the La Liga table over bitter rivals Real Madrid.
Los Blancos could leapfrog the Catalans tomorrow evening if they beat Real Valladolid away, but would quickly surrender their leadership if Barca top their cross-city rivals in an early afternoon fixture on the cusp of 2023.
