Ethereum Classic (ETC) investors seek alternatives as EGD grants $700K to 19 projects

In an effort to bolster the Ethereum Classic (ETC) ecosystem, the ETC Grants DAO (EGD) has awarded grants to 19 carefully selected projects. Despite the efforts to boost the ecosystem, Ethereum Classic itself has experienced some setbacks in its price and trading volume. Currently trading at $18.78, Ethereum Classic (ETC) witnessed a 6.2% drop from its price of $20.02 a week ago. 

Additionally, Ethereum Classic’s trading volume plummeted by 12.5% in just one day, declining from $137 million to $120 million. This downward trend signals that some investors may seek alternative options outside of Ethereum Classic.

Binance Futures discontinues support for Polkadot (DOT) as a margin asset in multi-asset mode

Binance Futures made an announcement regarding the discontinuation of support for Polkadot as a margin asset in Multi-Assets Mode. The change is set to take effect from July 27, leaving users with the need to adjust their portfolios accordingly.

As of today, the transfer-in limit for Polkadot (DOT) has been updated to zero in the Multi-Assets Mode, signaling the end of their tenure on the platform. Binance Futures has assured its users that all Polkadot assets in their accounts will be automatically converted to USDT (Tether). Polkadot will still be available for trading on other sections of the Binance platform, allowing their communities to continue engaging and trading.

Even with the delisting announcement, Polkadot showcased resilience, registering a 2.82% price increase in the latest trading session, surging from $5.31 to $5.46. Furthermore, the trading volume for Polkadot (DOT) experienced a significant surge of 46%, soaring from $150 million to $219 million, reflecting ongoing market interest and activity.

Despite the delisting decision made by Binance Futures, other trading sections of the platform still present potential opportunities for Polkadot.
