Eric Trump Says Banks Face Extinction in 10 years

Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, issued a stark warning to traditional financial institutions, suggesting that banks could become obsolete within the next decade if they fail to adapt to technological change.

During a recent public appearance, Trump criticized the legacy banking infrastructure, calling it “slow, expensive, and broken.” He argued that blockchain-based systems offer more efficient solutions compared to the outdated financial networks banks currently rely on, singling out the SWIFT system as “an absolute disaster.”

“If the banks don’t watch what’s coming, they’re going to be extinct in 10 years,” Trump said.

Banks Favor the Wealthy, Weaponize the System

Trump also expressed frustration with what he views as systemic bias within the U.S. financial system. According to him, banks cater to the ultra-wealthy while marginalizing ordinary citizens—particularly those aligned with conservative values.

He claimed that his move into cryptocurrency was triggered by personal experience with what he described as “weaponized” banking policies targeting people without “zeros on their balance sheet” and those who supported the “Make America Great Again” movement.

Trump’s comments reflect a growing sentiment among crypto advocates who view blockchain technology as a tool for financial inclusion and resistance to institutional overreach.
