Drought Spreads in the Corn Belt

Growing drought conditions across the U.S. Corn Belt this summer could take a bite out of what was expected to be a strong crop of corn, wheat and soybeans.

Crop futures trading on the Chicago Board of Trade have been elevated since late May by concerns about dryness, and are up again today.

The most-active corn futures are up 2%

Soybeans futures are up 1.8%

Wheat futures are up 3.1%
