Summary
Despite a pop in Treasury yields over the past five days, as well as a resurgent U.S. Dollar Index over the past four days, the stock market threw caution to the wind and logged two days of gains. Perhaps an agreement on the debt ceiling will be reached and the U.S. will continue to pay its bills and its employees. While Wednesday’s gains were broad, Thursday’s breadth wasn’t even lukewarm when compared to the gains of the major indices.
