Decentraland, the first decentralized Metaverse, is all set to gear up for its fifth annual ‘Decentraland Art Week.’ The announcement was made by Decentraland through X on January 12, 2024.
To participate in the event, individuals need to submit the proposals by 28 January 2024 and the selected proposals will be announced on February 5, 2024. All files are to be submitted by 18 March 2024 and the festival returns are expected between 26-29 March 2024.

What Will the Artists Receive?
Four selected proposals will be awarded 1,500 USDT to construct their gallery and exhibition, along with a 4X4 plot of LAND, around 64m x 64m virtual space in the Decentraland Art Week Plaza for the next three months. To make the event more immersive, 3D artists, design studios, games studios, and collaborations around the globe are invited to submit their proposals for innovative 3D galleries.
The event simply opens doors for artists to showcase their talent. Moreover, the event doesn’t cost any entry fee. Participants are only required to host at least one live event of over 30 to 60 minutes in their gallery during the festive season. Additionally, the maximum file sizes and triangle limits are 64m x 64m base dimensions, 200 MB in total, including the sound files, 81m in height, and 150,000 triangles.
In addition, Beatstreet, Decentral Games, SWEdnesdays with Mr., and Meta Tribe Plaza are a few of the upcoming events of Decentraland to explore.
‘Decentraland Art Week’ Years 2022 & 2023
The past events have maintained the excitement and engagement of worldwide artists regarding the upcoming event.
The fourth ‘Decentraland Art Week’ was organized between July 19-23, 2023, and highlighted the talent of over 60 artists. The event was based on the theme ‘The metaverse is dead. Long live the metaverse.’ MESH, the art fair of 3D, VR, and Metaverse was the main event in the art week, created by Vueltta, and the fair represented the talent of leading artists including Mattia Cuttini, Hannes Hummel, Rebecca Rose, and Michelle Brown.
Looking back, Decentraland’s third art week was organized between August 24-28, 2022 and stole the hearts of the crowd. Based on the theme ‘The world is made of code’, the event attracted people from all over the world and showcased some mindblowing art projects like Audio Art Tour, Frida Kahlo Family’s Red House, Cash Labs Gallery, etc.
