People who hate She-Hulk have continued to wage a war against She-Hulk for the duration of its entire first season, bombing it with exceptionally low audience scores each and every week, even as critics seem to think it’s pretty good.
But now? Daredevil and Matt Murdock’s appearance in the penultimate episode this week was so well-received, that even the usual haters couldn’t help but like it, and it’s caused a reprieve in the low scores, at least for the moment.

Right now, She-Hulk has an 87% critic score and a just absurd 35% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, the lowest of any MCU property.
On IMDB, the show has a 5.0 out of 10, lower than even the also-review bombed Captain Marvel (6.8) and Ms. Marvel (6.2).
However, you can see the “Daredevil effect” here if you look at the grand total of scores of all the individual episodes so far:
1. Episode 8, Ribbit and Rip It – 7.9

2. Episode 1, A Norma Amount of Rage – 6.5
3. Episode 2, Superhuman Law – 6.2
4. Episode 4, Is This Not Real Magic? – 6.0
5. Episode 3 The People vs. Emil Blonsky – 5.6
6. Episode 7, The Retreat – 5.7
7. Episode 5, Mean, Green and Straight Poured Into These Jeans – 5.3

8. Episode 6, Just Jen – 4.6
Overlooking the fact that it’s hilarious that somehow the show is meant to be a 5/10 when only a single episode out of eight has even been rated lower than a 5, you can see the Daredevil boost clearly. That episode was rate well over every single other episode since the premiere, even though aspects of it were debating by the same crowd who normally hate watches/reviews the show every week (Jen sleeping with Matt).
It remains just absolutely ridiculous how much She-Hulk has been bombed compared to literally every other Marvel production, which is its own story, but in this instance, the other aspect is just how much the MCU community loves Charlie Cox as Daredevil, which is why they were so hyped for his Spider-Man cameo, the return of his arch-enemy Wilson Fisk in Hawkeye, his likely appearance in Echo and now his own confirmed new series, Daredevil: Born Again. Even in a roster full of beloved superheroes and attached actors, there’s nothing quite like people’s love for Cox’s Murdock/Daredevil, especially after season 3 on Netflix.

My guess is that a Daredevil-free She-Hulk finale will once again see its scores sink, but the takeaway here is that everyone is just being enormously immature about this series so this constant bombing means less than nothing. Hopefully we’ll hear about season 2 shortly.
