In earlier September 2022, Dapper Labs announced the launch of an NFT platform in closed beta that is expected to launch by the later part of October 2022. The NFT marketplace dubbed as LaLiga Golazos will be based on the LaLiga Spanish soccer league—similar to NBA Top Shot and NFT All Day.
By October 27th, 2022, the soccer league based NFT platform will open for users and it will launch its pack of collections on the same date. Being focused on sports offerings, LaLiga Golazos will also be focusing on digital collectibles. These NFT collectibles will be minted on Flow blockchain of Dapper Labs.
LaLiga Golazos NFTs will consist of card-like assets—based on the video highlights—that will be subjected to sale and trade over the blockchain. In September, 2021, Dapper announced their partnership with LaLiga.
LaLiga in LaLiga Golazos is apparently the famous Spanish football league system while golazos is Spanish for spectacular goal. The NFT marketplace will be selling the bilingual NFTs—including play-by-play narration, details of player performances and statistics during the match in both English and Spanish language.
Dapper Labs will be offering their first entirely bilingual NFTs whereas the collectibles will have the cards holding the specifically popular moments during the league from the year 2005 till present.
As reported, the first digital pack of collectibles are going to launch by October 27th, 2022. It will specifically consist of the moments from some famous rivalries of LaLiga with the Madrid Derby, El Clasico, the El Gran Derbi and the Basque Derby.
Famous players like Atlético de Madrid forward João Félix, FC Barcelona forward Ansu Fati, FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen and Real Madrid CF midfielder Luka Modrić reportedly signed the collaboration deal with the NFT marketplace. According to this promotional deal, these players will be promoting the launch of LaLiga Gloazos along with featuring in its marketing materials.
