Damian Lillard Set To Return For Milwaukee Bucks During NBA Playoffs

Damian Lillard is coming back for the NBA playoffs.

Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, Lillard will return for Game 2 or Game 3 of the Milwaukee Bucks series with the Indiana Pacers. Lillard will miss at least Game 1, set for Saturday afternoon in Indiana.

Game 2 is Tuesday in Indianapolis and Game 3 is Friday in Milwaukee.

The Bucks announced last month that Lillard likely would be sidelined indefinitely with deep vein thrombosis in his right calf.

Thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel.

Lillard, averaging 24.9 points, 7.1 assists and 4.7 rebounds, has not played since March 18.

“Damian’s health is our No. 1 priority,” Bucks general manager Jon Horst said in a statement at the time. “We will support him as he moves through this weekly process of strict criteria to ensure that it is safe for him to return to play. Doctors have indicated that his situation is very unlikely to occur again. We are thankful that this was identified and medicated quickly, which helps with the recovery.”
