‘Culpa Mía’ Star Nicole Wallace Wraps New Series ‘Postcards From Italy’

Spanish-American actress Nicole Wallace, known for her hugely successful films from the Culpables trilogy, continues her meteoric rise with a new Prime Video project. The popular star has just wrapped filming on Postcards from Italy, an Italian original series.

Joining Wallace, the ensemble cast includes Sebastiano Pigazzi (And Just Like That…), Filippo De Carli (House of Gucci), Maria Vera Ratti (The Lying Life of Adults), Niccolò Senni (Those About to Die), Vincent Riotta (Those About to Die), Paola Minaccioni (Diamanti), and Martina Gatti (SKAM Italia).

Filmed on location in Sicily, the romantic comedy follows Mia (Wallace), a young and spoiled New York heiress whose grandfather sends her to Palermo without money or luxuries to work as a real estate agent in the family business. In this fish-out-of-water premise, will an Upper West Side girl survive in Sicily without even a credit card?

Postcards from Italy is created by Lisa Riccardi (Paradise for Sale) and Damiano Bruè (Shadows) and directed by Academy Award winner Jessica Yu (Quiz Lady, Only Murders in the Building, The Morning Show). The series, which kicked off production in September, is co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Gaumont Italia.

Amazon MGM Studios Doubles Down on Wallace’s Success

The Italian original series is Wallace’s first project under her exclusive Amazon MGM Studios talent-holding deal, announced in October. The deal, which marks a strategic investment in the actress who starred in the streamer’s biggest international originals, positions her to develop and star in projects across Prime Video’s global television and film slate.

“This talent deal represents our excitement about Nicole’s global potential and reinforces our commitment to nurturing emerging international talent who can help tell compelling stories for our global audience,” says Nicole Clemens, VP and Head of International Originals at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.

The partnership comes after the extraordinary success of the Culpables franchise, based on Mercedes Ron’s bestselling trilogy. Culpa Mía (2023) and Culpa Tuya (2024) broke records as the most-watched international originals on Prime Video in their respective years. The trilogy’s finale, Culpa Nuestra (Our Fault), which premiered in October, made history with its trailer becoming the most-watched ever for an original streaming movie, racking up 163 million views in one week.

Wallace’s momentum extends beyond Prime Video. Her Netflix limited series Ni Una Mas (Raising Voices), based on Miguel Saez Carral’s novel, debuted to 25.4 million viewers and ranked as the streamer’s number one non-English language drama worldwide for two weeks.

She’ll next appear in the Amazon Original limited series The House of Spirits, set to premiere in 2026. The Chilean production from FilmNation, Fabula, and producer Eva Longoria adapts Isabel Allende’s acclaimed novel, with Wallace playing young Clara del Valle alongside Alfonso Herrera, Dolores Fonzi, and Fernanda Castillo.

Postcards from Italy will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The release date has yet to be announced.
