Chase Brown And Jaxson Dart

Week 7 of the fantasy football season comes with some tough start or sit decisions, but we’re here to help with that. In order to help you find players that may breakout in Week 7, who you should start, we’ll be looking at some sleepers.

ForbesWeek 7 Fantasy Football Flex Rankings (RB/WR/TE)

In this article, we will only break down wide receivers outside of the top 36 and running backs out of the top 24 in the Fantasy Pros Week 7 expert consensus rankings (PPR).

For quarterbacks, tight ends, and defenses that will go down to the top 12. Please note that the fantasy points allowed resource (per Fantasy Pros) follows 0.5 PPR scoring. Even so, the general idea still remains the same to the point where it’s a good resource for PPR leagues as well.

Let’s dive right into some interesting start or sit decisions for Week 7.

Breakout Wide Receiver Jerry Jeudy (WR44 – Start)

There’s not a ton of great wide receiver options this week, but Jerry Jeudy is a player who’s a fine flex play despite his disappointing season this year. Despite scoring only 9.3 points (PPR), Jeudy had 13 targets last week but only caught five passes.

The targets are an encouraging sign, but to be fair, the Miami Dolphins have allowed the 9th fewest fantasy points allowed to wide receivers this year. The Dolphins aren’t an extremely tough matchup, but it’s not ideal.

Jeudy is a player you should feel good about starting this week in your flex spot after a Week 6 game where he drew a ton of targets. The hope is that Jeudy can haul a few more of those receptions in and have a 13-14 point week.

Sit Wide Wide Receiver Jordan Addison (WR26 – Sit)

Although Jordan Addison has been playing well, there’s still a lot of other target competition, and in Week 5, he only had six targets. In great matchups, it’s a bit easier to trust Addison because he’s scored over nine touchdowns in both of his first two seasons in the NFL.

In Week 7, though, Addison and the Minnesota Vikings take on the Philadelphia Eagles, who have allowed the 14 least points to wide receivers this year. It’s not super tough, but not particularly easy either.

Coming off a game where Addison had just 41 yards, it would make sense to leave him on your bench for Week 7.

Breakout Running Back Woody Marks (RB33 – Start)

Despite having a rough Week 6, the fantasy football community has overreacted just a bit. Marks can still be a fine RB2 if you need to play a backup this week.

Marks clearly showed he was talented and had 17 carries for 27.9 points in Week 4. It’s not as if this is a super hard game script, as Marks takes on the Seattle Seahawks, who have allowed the 13th fewest points per game to running backs.

While Marks isn’t the safest option, he offers a ton of upside in your RB2 spot.

Sit Wide Running Back Chase Brown (RB22 – Sit)

If you were just looking at the stats from Chase Brown, this would be an easy choice. Brown is averaging 9.7 PPG, and he has yet to go over 12 points since Week 1.

While the Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t a super tough matchup, they’ve allowed the 15 fewest points per game to running backs this year. Not only that, but Brown has just one game with over four YPC, which was 4.7 last week. Brown needs to prove it for two plus weeks before you can confidently start him.

Breakout Quarterback Jaxson Dart (QB15 – Start)

In Jaxson Dart’s first three games as a starter, he’s had over 19 points in two of them. The other one in Week 5 wasn’t bad either, with 15.6 points.

The main reason for that is that rushing quarterbacks are great for fantasy football. Dart offers you a fantastic floor because he’s had over 10 rushing attempts in two of those three games.

Not only that, but Dart has scored two touchdowns on the ground and run for over 50 yards each game, giving you a good ceiling case as well. To be fair, the Denver Broncos are a tough matchup, allowing the 2nd fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this year.

Even so, Dart is such a good runner that he deserves to be in the Top 12, and he’s solid play regardless of matchup at this point.

Sit Quarterback Justin Herbert (QB9 – Start)

Justin Herbert is a good quarterback, but he’s really only had one massive game this year, which came in Week 1 (27.9 points). If you’re looking for a high floor, Herbert is a fine play, but Dart has already had more 19-plus point games than him.

Not only that, but Herbert doesn’t have a great matchup either. The Los Angeles Chargers are taking on the Indianapolis Colts, who have allowed the 13 fewest points per game to quarterbacks in the NFL.

To have a shot of getting another big week from Herbert, you should be looking for elite matchups, which this one isn’t.

Breakout Tight End Zach Ertz (TE14 – Start)

Since tight end is such a tough position to predict, Zach Ertz is worth a shot due to his touchdown upside. Every single game that Ertz has gone over 10 points is because of a touchdown.

That’s already happened three times this year, though, and with Jayden Daniels back in the lineup, the Washington Commanders should only get better. The matchup for Ertz doesn’t tell us much, either good or bad, as the Dallas Cowboys have allowed the 15th most points per game to tight ends this year.

Breakout Tight End Hunter Henry (TE10 – Start)

For Hunter Henry, it’s a bit confusing as to why he’s ranked in the Top 12. The New England Patriots have been playing well, but Henry hasn’t scored more than seven points in the last two weeks.

Not only that, but Henry has only had two games this year with over five targets. Both of those games came in Week 1 and Week 3 when Henry had two big games.

Since then, though, Henry has been fairly quiet. In a matchup where the Patriots take on the Tennessee Titans, who have allowed the 8th fewest points per game to tight ends this year, this decision is simple.

Breakout Defense Carolina Panthers (D/ST 13)

When looking to stream a defense, your only focus should be the matchup. In Week 7, the Carolina Panthers take on the New York Jets, who have allowed the 6th most points per game to opposing defenses this year.

The Jets are having a tough time figuring things out on offense, only scoring 11 points last week. This upcoming week, the Panthers have a good matchup, and that’s all that matters.

Sit Houston Texans (D/ST 10)

On the other side of the coin, you should be avoiding any tough matchups for your defense at all costs. Since the Houston Texans play the Seattle Seahawks, you don’t want them in your starting lineup.

The Seahawks have allowed the 5th fewest points per game to opposing defenses on the year. When trying to make your start or sit decisions for your defense, this is a massive red flag.
