The US Treasury has recently banned a virtual currency mixer – Tornado Cash sparking a ferocious debate across the crypto ecosystem. The developers are expressing their outrage against the move.

The Treasury sanctioned Tornado Cash against money laundering of 7 Billion USD and helping hacking groups like Lazarus Group. Cardano’s Founder, Charles Hoskinson has joined the voices against the sanction of Tornado Cash.
“He understanding is that when we write code, its an expression as long as we don’t get involved in the running and use of the code…you’re not really telling people to go do this,…you’re just writing things down,” Hoskinson said in a new “shock AMA” when asked about his contemplations on the Tornado Cash ban. As far as he might be concerned, it was inappropriate to expect that Tornado Cash designers straightforwardly controlled the convention or helped in any capacity from exchanges directed utilizing it when they were not in charge of something similar.
