Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” rockets into the U.K. top 10 on six charts years after release, … More
Most pop songs have a very short shelf life, which makes staying on the charts and remaining relevant as a pop musician very difficult. Some tunes experience lengthy journeys on the competitive rankings, while others have to wait years before they become successes, though that is relatively uncommon.
Chappell Roan’s career has been something of an outlier from the beginning, and her smash “Pink Pony Club” is certainly an oddity in the pop space. That track needed half a decade to reach the mainstream in a major way in the United Kingdom, where Roan is now one of the most exciting names in music. The catchy cut is largely on the rise at the moment in that nation, years after she first shared it with the world.
“Pink Pony Club” Returns to the Top 10
“Pink Pony Club” lives on half a dozen charts in the U.K. It climbs on several of them and is amazingly present within the top 10 on each and every one of those rosters this frame. The tune returns to the highest tier on both the Official Vinyl Singles and Official Physical Singles charts, where it lands simultaneously at No. 4. Last week, the track sat at No. 19 on the vinyl-only ranking and No. 23 on the list of the bestselling individual songs on physical formats, including vinyl. Purchases of Roan’s track must have increased significantly in order to send it back to the loftiest region as it returns to the top 10 on those two tallies.
“Pink Pony Club” also holds on inside that space on several other lists. It appears highest at the moment on the Official Singles Sales chart, pushing to No. 3. The cut also makes a home on the Official Singles chart at No. 5, the Official Streaming ranking at No. 6, and the Official Singles Downloads tally at No. 7.
The Long Journey to the Top for “Pink Pony Club”
“Pink Pony Club” was one of Roan’s earliest singles, but it didn’t find mainstream success until after she performed it at the Grammy Awards earlier this year. At that point, it was serviced to radio and became a smash on streaming platforms five years after the singer-songwriter originally released it, back in 2020. Since then, it has gone on to become one of her most famous tracks and, to this day, her biggest hit in many places.
“Good Luck, Babe!” Climbs
As “Pink Pony Club” gallops back into the top 10, “Good Luck, Babe!,” the single that introduced Roan to millions, is on the rise on four lists and returns to another in the U.K., while “Hot to Go!” remains a streaming win a year after it appeared on that tally. Roan’s debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is also gaining ground, pushed, in part, by the continued popularity of several of its most popular smashes.
