Chappell Roan changed pop music with singles like “Good Luck, Babe!,” “Pink Pony Club,” and “Hot to Go!” Her debut full-length The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess turned her from a struggling indie act into a global superstar, and demand for new music from the Grammy winner is insatiable.
While her most famous tunes have largely departed the Hot 100, Roan scores a new win on the list with “The Subway,” which brings her to a new career peak even her breakout smashes couldn’t match.
“The Subway” Rides Onto the Hot 100
“The Subway” debuts on the Hot 100 this week at No. 3. That’s a new personal best for the singer-songwriter on the competitive list. Both “Pink Pony Club” and “Good Luck, Babe!” stalled at No. 4 during their runs.
Chappell Roan’s Top 10 Hits
Roan now has four career top 10s on Billboard’s ranking of the most-consumed songs in America. In addition to “Good Luck, Babe!” and “Pink Pony Club,” “The Subway” joins “The Giver” in reaching the top half of the uppermost tier.
“The Subway” is an Instant Top Five Smash
“The Subway” is a top five hit on each of the three lists it debuts on in America. This frame, it launches at No. 2 on the Streaming Songs ranking and No. 4 on the Digital Song Sales chart. Worldwide, it starts at No. 3 on the Billboard Global 200 and narrowly enters the top 10 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., where it begins its time at No. 10.
“Pink Pony Club” Lives on the Hot 100
While “Good Luck, Babe!” is absent from American charts, “Pink Pony Club” continues to live on multiple tallies. The track marks its sixtieth week on the Hot 100, while dipping from No. 14 to No. 17. It also appears on the Digital Song Sales, Radio Songs, and Streaming Songs lists, currently residing at Nos. 9, 11, and 27, respectively.
Originally released in 2020, “Pink Pony Club” became a hit after Roan performed during the 2025 Grammy Awards. It holds in impressive positions on all three of Billboard’s pop radio lists, keeping at No. 3 on the Adult Pop Airplay roster and sitting just outside the top 10 on both the Adult Contemporary and Pop Airplay rankings.
