Caviar is everywhere in 2023, and the Big Apple is getting even more of it.
On Friday, February 17, Caviar Kaspia, the beloved Paris boutique and restaurant that dates back to 1927, will open at The Mark on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Designed by interior designer Jacques Grange, Caviar Kaspia’s newest restaurant and caviar shop aims to recreate the chic Parisian restaurant stateside. Those familiar with the French institution will recognize iconic Caviar Kaspia blue tablecloths, emerald green mohair banquettes, wood paneled walls, and a sculptural Belgian Black marble bar, designed to evoke Old New York.
“I was inspired by Caviar Kaspia’s original dining room on Place de la Madeleine in Paris, which is so intimate and warm,” said Grange. I felt passionate about remaining true to its design but translated through the eyes of the trendy and timeless Mark Hotel.”
Caviar Kaspia at The Mark offers eight different types of farm raised caviar, spanning multiple regions around the world, aiming to expand various taste profiles and access to a global selection of fish roe.
The restaurant’s extensive caviar-centric menu celebrates the “Art of Caviar” including a cult favorite twice-baked potato topped with caviar; blinis with smoked salmon and bottarga; eggs with caviar; pasta with caviar, and much more. Plant-based diner can also indulge in vegetarian caviar made from liquified and spherized truffle. Caviar can also be purchased in various quantities at the boutique.
“Opening Caviar Kaspia inside the iconic Upper East Side hotel is a milestone for our Parisian institution,” said Ramon Mac-Crohon, CEO of Caviar Kaspia. “It’s a match made in luxury heaven.”
Caviar Kaspia will be open for lunch and dinner from Friday, February 17. Reservations are required; visit Resy for availability.
