In a surprising twist of events, Cardano blockchain founder Charles Hoskinson, has attempted to amend his strained relationship with the Ripple (XRP) community by calling for a truce. The entrepreneur expressed his intention of teaming up with the XRP enthusiasts by sharing a tweet on his official Twitter handle on June 10, stating ”XRP Community, peace?”
XRP Community, peace?

The entrepreneur further tagged the official Twitter handle of Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, on his post asking, “We cool?” to which the CTO gave a positive response.

As both Cardano and XRP community members have been at conflict for quite some time, the sudden plea of peace from Hoskinson has ignited lively debates within the crypto space. The call for unity is seen by some in the community as a hypocritical step after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) labeled Cardano’s native token, ADA, as a security.
The dispute with the XRP users dates back to December 2022 when Hoskinson shared his stance on the legal tussle between Ripple and SEC. After the interview, he received severe backlash where XRP users even accused Cardano of being involved in a corrupt scheme with the SEC to target projects like Ripple.
Even though Ripple co-founders supported Hoskinson’s views about SEC’s lack of infrastructure for the crypto and blockchain projects, the XRP community kept attacking him relentlessly. In a December 17 tweet, the Cardano developer expressed his frustrations with the harassment and announced his intention of distancing himself from the discussions of XRP and Ripple.
There is no point inviting toxicity into your life. It’s abusive and pointless. Even in saying it now there are mocking baby memes. Life is too short. Move on and cut it out. XRP provides no partnership or technical value. The community is toxic and petty. I can live without it

Response of XRP Fans to Hoskinsons’s Plea of Peace
As expected, Hoskinson’s peace initiative tweet stirred different feelings and mixed responses from XRP supporters. Some XRP users took to Twitter to voice out their supportive stance on the truce stating that uniting forces with Hoskinson will form a formidable defense against SEC’s assaults on the crypto industry.
One of the most prominent members of the crypto community, Bill Morgan, an Australian lawyer, expressed his views on the recent development. Morgan shared his doubts of XRP users still harboring anger towards Hoskinson as most of the community members hold both ADA and XRP. It is plausible that these XRP users will consider Hoskinson’s reconciliation plea to save their digital assets from SEC’s regulatory actions in the USA.
I really doubt Charles more than a very small fraction of XRP holders have ill will towards you. Many XRP holders probably hold #ADA. More serious issues to worry about like the onslaught in the US on the crypto market.

On the other hand, there are XRP fans who hold a contrasting opinion regarding the founder’s efforts of reconciliation. In a twitter post shared on June 10, a user inquired if the XRP enthusiasts are now no longer conspiracy theorists since SEC mentioned ADA token as a security.
So now the #XRP community aren’t a bunch of conspiracy theorists just because the SEC labeled ADA a security 😂

This unexpected development between Ripple and Hoskinson has sparked a lot of discussions and speculations in the crypto sphere. Market participants are closely monitoring the situation to see how this potential alliance will impact the regulatory landscape.
Moreover, as the SEC’s scrutiny and regulatory attacks increased on the crypto market, projects are likely to come together and form a unified front to confront regulators.
