‘Call Of Duty’ Removes TimTheTatman Skin As The Drama Intensifies

It is with no shortage of schadenfreude that I report this news: Activision has removed the TimTheTatman bundle from Call Of Duty. Players in Modern Warfare II and Warzone will no longer be able to buy the Twitch star’s skin in-game. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I know.

This follows the removal of the Nickmercs bundle after a controversial tweet which provoked internet celebrity Dr. Disrespect to uninstall the game and proclaim very vocally that he was quitting COD altogether. Like Arnold, he’ll be back.

TimTheTatman, who also got a bundle in Modern Warfare II and Warzone requested that it be removed from the game’s in-game Store as a show of support for his fellow streamer, which is honorable regardless of whether or not everything leading up to this point is misguided.

In any case, Call Of Duty has complied.

“At Tim’s request, we have removed the TimTheTatman operator bundle from the Modern Warfare II and the Warzone store,” Activision spokesperson Neil Wood said in a statement.

No more influencer bundles in Call Of Duty, I say. Enough is enough. Twitter drama getting in the way of us having a good time shooting one another? No thank you!
