Suga, one of the seven beloved members of globe-dominating K-pop/pop band BTS, makes a triumphant return with his new single, “Lilith (Diablo IV Anthem),” which has quickly made its mark on several Billboard charts. Teaming up once again with pop singer Halsey, the dynamic duo has achieved another resounding success, propelling Suga to the top of a Billboard chart he has never reached on his own before.
The collaborative track debuts at No. 1 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart. This weekly Billboard ranking showcases the top-selling alternative songs during the previous tracking period. The Halsey/Suga collaboration immediately claims the first-place position with just over 7,000 copies sold, according to data shared by Luminate, the company powering the Billboard rankings.
It comes as no surprise that “Lilith (Diablo IV Anthem)” marks Suga’s first No. 1 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart, considering that K-pop artists are not typically associated with this list. However, it is worth noting that Suga previously reached the summit, albeit not under his solo moniker. In 2021, BTS’s collaboration with Coldplay, “My Universe,” topped the chart at the same time it was busy conquering the world.
Meanwhile, Halsey adds another milestone to her career as she secures her second No. 1 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart. Her previous chart-topper “Not Afraid Anymore” reached the pinnacle of the list in 2017, and she now boasts an impressive dozen top 10 hits on this ranking.
Although many of Suga’s chart successes have come as a member of BTS, he has also made a name for himself as a solo artist. He consistently not only finds his way onto new charts as a soloist but also dominates them with his freshly released hits. As a solo artist, Suga has previously topped the Digital Song Sales, World Digital Song Sales, and Rap Digital Song Sales charts. In fact, he has claimed the top spots on these charts multiple times, solidifying his status as one of the most successful solo members of the septet.
