BTS’s Jimin Occupies 10% Of Billboard’s Song Sales Chart As His New Hits Debut

At the same time that Jimin’s new EP Face makes its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, he also proves his immense and near-unparalleled popularity in the U.S. by dominating another important ranking. This week, the BTS star also occupies a staggering 10% of the 50-spot ranking on the Digital Song Sales chart with five tracks from the EP.

Leading the way on the Digital Song Sales chart is “Like Crazy,” which debuts at No. 1, selling a whopping 241,000 copies in its first week alone. This not only makes it the bestselling song in the U.S. for the week, but that figure also the largest sales frame of 2023.

Meanwhile, Jimin’s previous chart-topper, “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” slips to No. 5 this week, selling another 8,100 copies in the past tracking period. The only non-new song on the chart by the South Korean powerhouse, it debuted at No. 1 last week.

Jimin’s latest EP is well-represented on the ranking, with the third-most popular track, “Face-Off,” making an impressive debut at No. 8, having sold just

over 4,300 copies. “Alone” and “Interlude: Dive” also make their debut on the Digital Song Sales chart at Nos. 12 and 15, respectively, each selling around 4,000 and 3,600 copies.

Overall, the songs from Face sold more than 260,000 copies in the U.S. alone last week. And while that success partially explains how the EP nearly conquered the Billboard 200, it’s not the full story. Face also sold over 100,000 copies as a complete project, becoming the bestselling project in the U.S. at the same time one of its songs stands out for the very same reason.
