BTS, the South Korean band composed of RM, Jin, SUGA, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, continues to make musical history, thanks to a winning combination—the band’s exceptional talent and a very loyal fan base.
The recent Permission to Dance tour is no exception. It was not easy to acquire tickets for the BTS concerts that took place on Nov. 27, 28, and Dec. 1 and 2, 2021 in Los Angeles. Each show at SoFi Stadium was sold out.
The 12-show run began in Seoul in October 2021 and concluded in Las Vegas, in April 2022. Altogether, Permission to Dance On Stage—LA earned $33.3 million from selling over 200,000 tickets. The performances also became a film.
For any BTS fans who missed the concert, as well as those who want to experience it again, the film BTS: Permission To Dance On Stage – LA showcases the live concert performances filmed at SoFi Stadium. The concert film is stage-focused and includes performances of the Grammy-nominated band’s hit songs Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance. The film will be available on Disney+ globally.
The Disney+ film is produced by HYBE, a Den of Thieves production, in association with Borderless Films. It’s directed by Sam Wrench and Junsoo Park. The release of the film is part of the streaming platform’s second annual Disney+ Day celebration, which features premieres from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and The Simpsons.
