BTS Announce 4 Las Vegas Stadium Shows With Accompanying Fan Programs For April

BTS is heading to Vegas for their next grand set of stages.

The pop icons announced BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Las Vegas, a new four-date run of concerts for April 8, 9, 15 and 16. The shows will take place at the 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium with a live audience.

In addition to the live show, BTS fans can head to Vegas for the in-person experience “LIVE PLAY in Las Vegas” being held in the city’s MGM Grand Garden Arena on all four days. LIVE PLAY allows fans to watch the concert in real-time on a large screen (if they haven’t secured tickets) with BTS’ official fanclub Weverse mentioning, “various on-site programs such as Photo Card Random Box and photo zone.”

The concert will also stream online on the last day of the tour on April 16.

As previously announced, BTS’ Permission to Dance on Stage will take place in their hometown of Seoul on March 10, 12 and 13 at the Seoul Olympic Stadium with a slightly limited number of audience members. The Seoul and Vegas shows follow the group’s record-breaking four nights at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium that moved 214,000 tickets with Billboard reporting it as “the largest gross for a run of shows at a single venue since 2012.”

The new string of live shows falls in line with BTS’ future schedules with the 2022 Grammy Awards taking place in Sin City on April 3 with the band likely planning to be in town for the show where they’re nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their No. 1 hit “Butter.”

The inclusion of the “LIVE PLAY” aspect also sees this mini-residency as more of an overall fan convention and experience instead of just concerts—a smart and fun play for the famously passionate BTS ARMY as well as a savvy move to make the most of the band’s time abroad. Creating additional programming and opportunities for fans who may not be able to snag seats or can’t attend the actual show is yet another example of how BTS and management company HYBE look to expand the typical musical experience for their audiences.
